When I was very young I wanted to be a television presenter.  I'm not sure why.  Maybe it was the lure of Phillipa Forrester in the CBBC Broom Cupboard.  Anyway, as I grew older, my media-focus shifted slightly, from the world of television to the universe that is radio (in between the dreams of being a world-class footballer, of course).  There were two main reasons for this:

1)  As I grew older, I was introduced by my brother, to what he called 'music' - a strange arrangement of sound that on many occasions could be quite appealing to the ear.  As my love of music grew, so did my love of radio.

2)  As I grew older, I also grew wiser (as opposed to wider, which is the route my brother went down).  I realised that to be a TV presenter I'd need to be relatively good looking.  I'm not saying that all radio presenters are ugly, I just went for the easier career option.
